Logo Development + Color Selection
Focusing on the three pillars of Lasting Legacy, Unexplored Horizons, and Nurturing Community, our team devised a mark based on a physical bridge located in the county seat, Greenville. By simplifying the icon for the bridge, we were able to create a timeless mark that can serve as a frame for the Darke County type. We also created a set of distinct colors for Darke County itself as well as the major villages within the county including Greenville, Ansonia, Arcanum, Versailles, and Bradford.
Logo Variations + Village Icons
Creating a set of variations of the initial logo allowed for flexibility depending on where things need to be implemented. We also created simplified icons for each village in the county that was based on historical or cultural elements members of those communities found important to the identity of the villages.
Community Pattern
By creating a list of some of the most recognizable landmarks and events that are located in Darke County, a set of assets was created with simplified linework. These assets were then put together into a pattern format that essentially serves as a digital "quilt" of Darke County itself.
